01. Historical Reflection: Watt and Boulton's "Patent Paradox"

In 1775, entrepreneur Matthew Boulton lobbied parliament to extend James Watt's steam engine patent for 25 years. This moat brought immense profits to Boulton & Watt, but its fierce suppression of successors (such as high-pressure steam engine inventors) somewhat delayed the full explosion of the Industrial Revolution.

We do not want to repeat history.

In the AI era, we do not want patents to become "Qualcomm taxes" that stifle innovation. We consider: How can we design a new set of rules that protects our core inventions from uncompensated exploitation by tech giants, while opening up to ecosystem partners to foster technological flourishing?

This is a challenging balance: maintaining both the strength of a "shield" and the openness of a "bridge."

02. What Is Happening?

I am the founder of Sinbad AI™, an independent full-stack developer. I am building AI productivity infrastructure based on a Local-First architecture.

Unlike "API wrapper" apps on the market, we are dedicated to resolving the localized parsing and assetization of unstructured data. We are tackling the following technical domains:

03. Why Do We Need You?

I do not lack coding capacity, but I have found that many patent agents on the market act as "clerical drafters." They aim to slice up my technology for per-item billing without understanding how to protect the soul of an algorithm.

I face challenging "atypical" legal engineering problems that require your deconstruction:

• From "Suppression" to "Leadership": How to design patent layouts so they become interoperable "standard protocols" rather than tools that stifle innovation? How to foster ecosystem prosperity through cross-licensing or open-source agreements while safeguarding commercial interests?
• Physical Encapsulation of Algorithms: How to encapsulate abstract "intent computing" and "dynamic scheduling" algorithms into resilient "specific technical solutions" that meet patent law requirements, avoiding subject-matter rejection risks?
• Balance Between Open Source & Commercialization: We plan to open-source core protocols. How to lock down the choke points of commercial monetization through patent layouts while maintaining an open ecosystem?
• Embedding Evidence Logic: For offline-running software, how to design logical traps for "infringement evidence collection" so future copycats have nowhere to hide?

We are located in the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center (Tongzhou District). Here lies the grandeur of the Grand Canal, as well as the municipal administrative center, where policy dividends and business environments are undergoing qualitative leaps.

Free from the congestion and volatility of Zhongguancun, this location carries digital economy potential connected to the future. Here, we can refine products with greater composure and observe policy trends with greater acuity.

05. Profile We Are Seeking

• Dual Background: Ideally, a STEM background (Computer Science / Communications) enabling you to read technical documentation directly without translation.
• Geographic Location: Beijing (Tongzhou / CBD preferred). At this stage, we need in-person whiteboarding to draw architecture diagrams and deduce defensive/offensive strategies.
• Independent Spirit: You may be tired of corporate law firm hierarchies and long for a 0-to-1 flagship project managed personally.
